A Netherlands man broke the record for the most expensive burger in the world by making a burger called the ‘Golden Boy’ burger decorated with various adornments.
According to foreign media, the price of the burger is $6,000 USD (more than 955,000 Pakistani rupees) and was prepared by Robbert Jan de Veen, head of a restaurant named De Dalton in Voorthuizen, Netherlands.
Media reports state that Robbert came up with the idea of making this burger in his restaurant as a way of doing something new. When he looked searched up the internet for the most expensive burger in the world at the time, he found out that it cost $5,000 USD. That burger weighs 3.52 kilograms and was made in 2011 by a restaurant in Oregon.
According to Robbert Jan de Veen, when only takeaway service was open during the pandemic, and restaurants were closed, he thought to himself why not make the world’s most expensive burger during this time and use all the proceeds to benefit society. The proceeds were as such donated to a food bank.
According to Robbert, he had to go through a number of trials to accomplish this feat. Eventually, however, he made it. Some of the ingredients of the burger are Wagyu Beef A5, Italian White Truffle and Tiger Tomatoes which were pickled in Japanese Matcha.
