Moscow: Twenty countries in Asia, the Middle East and Latin America have ordered Russia to produce 1 billion doses of Covid-19 vaccine.
According to details, the demand for Russian-made vaccines has increased in countries affected by the corona virus. According to the news agency, at least 20 countries in Latin America, the Middle East and Asia have contacted Russia to buy a vaccine for the corona virus.
According to news reports, the CEO of the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) said at the introduction of the vaccine that he has already received an order to prepare 1 billion doses.
“We are ready to make more than 500 million doses a year with our partners in other countries,” he said.
He explained that everything that is made in Russia will be for the use of locals. Doses for overseas use will be prepared abroad. He said the RDIF was working on a humanitarian aid program aimed at reaching those countries who could not afford the corona vaccine.
It should be noted that Russia has approved a vaccine developed for the treatment of Covid-19. Russian President Vladimir Putin himself has announced the approval of the vaccine, saying Russia has become the first country in the world to launch the campaign.
He said the vaccine was a testament to Russia’s scientific prowess. The Russian-made vaccine was tested on humans two months ago.
Now the way has been paved for the Russian population to be vaccinated against the corona virus. However, clinical trials are still being conducted at various stages to test its safety and effectiveness in treating Covid-19.
According to media reports, President Putin, speaking at an official meeting on state television, said that the vaccine for the treatment of corona virus patients has been developed by the Moscow Gamalia Institute. It is safe and has been tested on one of his daughters.
“I know it works very well, it builds a strong immune system,” he said. “I want to reiterate that he has passed all the necessary checks,” he said. He expressed hope that Russia would soon begin mass production of the vaccine. Following the approval of the Russian Ministry of Health, the vaccine will be tested on a large scale and will be administered to thousands in the third phase.
The effects of the vaccine have been observed in people infected with the virus through such experiments. This process is required in a way before the regulatory approval of the vaccine. In addition, regulators around the world insisted that there would be no compromise on safety in the hasty preparation of the Covid-19 vaccine.
However, according to recent opinion polls, public distrust is growing over the slow pace of governments’ efforts to develop vaccines. Currently, more than 100 vaccines are being developed around the world to control the epidemic of Covid-19.
According to figures provided by the World Health Organization, four of them are in the final stages of testing and are being tested on humans.
