Lahore, 6th October: 2020 is the worst year for Pakistan’s civil aviation industry.

According to a report by Baaghi TV, senior journalist and anchorperson Mubasher Lucman said that the year 2020 has been the worst year for the aviation industry.

Tweeting on social networking site Twitter, Lucman said that many more pilots of Emirates Airlines have been asked to leave today. Overall, the year 2020 has been the worst in terms of the aviation industry.

It should be noted that the largest airline in the Middle East has already laid off 10% of its total workforce. According to AFP, the dismissal of 9,000 more employees means that the airline will lay off 15% of its employees.

Emirates Airlines has a total of 270 aircraft and it suspended its operations in March due to the suspension of global flight operations.

Recently, Emirates Airlines flew 58 out of 157 cities. “Earlier, it took the company four years to operate on a limited scale,” said Tim Clark, president of the airline.

It is clear that before the economic crisis caused by the Coronavirus, the Emirati company had employed about 60,000 staff, including 4,300 pilots and 22,000 other staff.

Clarke told the BBC in an interview, “The airline had already sent one-tenth of its staff on leave and will now have to lay off some more, which could be as high as 15 per cent.”
