100 days of lockdown completed in Lahore

Wednesday, July 1st: Baaghi TV reports that the partial lockdown in Lahore, the provincial capital of Punjab, which started on March 24 due to the coronavirus, has completed a century.

DIG Operations Ashfaq Khan said that Lahore police took all possible steps to ensure government SOP’s within 100 days of lockdown. 253,795 citizens were stopped at the checkpoints, the reason for movement was asked. 242,429 citizens were warned and sent back to their homes. Checking of 230,832 vehicles and motorcycles were carried out.

DIG Operations Ashfaq Khan further said that 8,279 motorcycles and vehicles were stopped for violation. Checking of 126,686 motorcycles, 31,635 rickshaws, more than 51,000 cars were carried out. 7,798 taxis, 13,679 heavy vehicles were also checked.

DIG Operations Ashfaq Khan further said that all measures taken for the spread and prevention of Coronavirus are to make the lives of the citizens safer. Citizens follow government guidelines, confined to homes. Ensure strict enforcement of police officers and youth face masks, centrifuges and social distance SOP’s.
