204 cases of dengue registered in Punjab in 24 hours

LAHORE, Oct 10: The health department of Punjab has confirmed that 204 new patients of dengue fever were registered in last 24 hours.

As per details from Health Department of Punjab, number of dengue patients dramatically increased in last 24 hours and this is highest number of dengue patients recorded till now, in just 24 hours.Total number of dengue patients jumps to 5600 after this increase. 24 new cases reported in Lahore and and 140 cases in Rawalpindi region.

The Health Department revealed that dengue control teams have checked more than 274,320 houses and places in rural areas of Punjab and 76,580 places in urban regions of Punjab to detect dengue Larvae.

At least 5,000 patients in Islamabad and 6,976 in Rawalpindi have been tested positive for the dengue virus. The disease is on a rapid increase in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) as well where 4,406 patients have been brought to hospitals.
