50 kanal of land worth millions of rupees of old lady retrieved
Lahore: Lahore Police, in continuation of its crackdown against land grabbers, illegal occupants and goons have retrieved fifty kanal occupied land worth millions of rupees of an old lady Zarina Bibi, resident of Bhatta Chowk Cantt from the land grabbers. On the directions of Capital City Police Officer Ghulam Mahmood Dogar, Lahore Police in supervision of SP Cantt division Sayyed Aziz, took prompt action against the culprits and retrieved fifty kanal land and handed over the possession to the old lady. According to the details, land grabbers Dilawar and Rana Shoukat using forged and fake documents, have occupied land of Zarina Bibi few years back at Qila Jeewan Singh Lahore Cantt. Zarina Bibi as last resort, had contacted the Anti Qabza Mafia Cell established at Capital City Police Headquarters Lahore and lodged a written complaint against the illegal occupants. The committee comprising Revenue department, Lahore Development Authority, Overseas Pakistani Commission, Registrar Cooperatives and Police checked all the relevant documents of ownership and as proven authentic, recommended action for restoration process in favor of Zarina Bibi. CCPO Lahore Ghulam Mahmood Dogar ordered the concerned police officers to take immediate legal action against the illegal occupants and ensure the retrieval of property to the actual owner. Accordingly, Cantt Division police took immediate action, retrieved the occupied property from the illegal possession of the land grabbers and handed over the possession to actual owner. Zarina Bibi met Commander Lahore Police Ghulam Mahmood Dogar in his office today and expressed her gratitude for his directions to Lahore police for retrieval of her land. She also lauded the vision of Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan and Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar as well as continuous efforts of Capital City Police Chief Ghulam Mahmood Dogar to make provincial capital Lahore free of Badmash Mafia and land grabbers. Capital City Police Officer Lahore Additional Ghulam Mahmood Dogar has said that there is no space for Land grabbers and Badmash Mafia in the city. Lahore police will deal with iron hands to those who have illegally possessed the land and property of poor citizens. Anti Qabza Mafia Cell as well as a dedicated non- emergency Helpline 1242 established at CCPO office making all out efforts for redress of grievances of citizens affected from land grabbers and criminals, he concluded.
