602 members Sikh delegation from India reached Nankana Sahib

To participate on 551 Birthday Celebrations of Guru Nanak Dev, a group of Indian Sikh pilgrims comprising 602 members led by
Amarjeet Singh (party leader) Member Shoromni Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) arrived pakistan from India through JCP Wagha. At Wagha border Tariq Wazir Additional Secretary Shrine , Evacuee Trust Property Board (ETPB), Satwant Singh, President of Pakistan Sikh Gurdwara Parbandak Committee (PSGPC), Ameer Singh, General Secretary, PSGPC and Bishan Singh ex-President PSGPC welcomed them.

Besides, the representatives of Punjab health department checked all passengers with thermal fever gun and also observed their negative reports of COVID-19 test which they were carrying. At the place ETPB offered refreshment to the sikh pilgrims.

Subsequently, after Immigration and Custom formalities the delegates set off from Wagha border and proceeded to Gurdwara Janamasthan Nankana Sahib by buses arranged by ETPB.

During arrival of Sikh pilgrims the security and other arrangement were satisfactory. The local police provided them security shelter at Wagha border as well as during their journey from wagha border to Nankana sahib.The said delegation has come to Pakistan to participate in 551th Birthday celebrations of their Master Guru Baba Nanak Dev Ji being organised at Gurdwara Janamastan Nankana Sahib on November 30, 2020.

It is partinent to mention here that Islamabad based Indian staff membrer of Indian High Commission namely R.B. Sohran and Santosh Kumar also reached Wagha border from Islamabad for the facilitation of India Sikh Pilgrims. It is added that sikh pilgrims brought a Palki for Guru Garanth Sahib from India too which they will place in mentioned Gurdwara.
