Contempt of Court Application filed against Secy. Aviation Division & Secy. Establishment for appointing DG CAA in violation

Both the secretaries showed no regard to the supremacy of law and have thrown the merit on the face of the Prime Minister by appointing a BPS 21 administrative group officer as DG CAA.

Whereas, the PM always spoke about the merit but the bureaucracy believes in themselves alone to be capable of being on merit, even once it comes to the specialist field of Aviation.

So far since the bureaucrats have taken over the post of DG CAA they just have one PK 8303 crash, the licensing issue, ban by EASA and FAA for PIA and the whole Aviation industry on the verge of collapse on their credit. Now they are excelling further and ICAO is surprised with the actions that they are initiating and those actions are sending the Aviation Industry down the dirty drains as a count down for a ban of Pakistani airlines and Pilots in 188 countries is on, so it’s a matter of a few days that we are looking forward for asking the government to provide us the locks so that it is easier for us to close down our aviation businesses.

EASA, EU accepting PIAs actions to be progressive has termed actions of CAA headed by bureaucrats for three years to be unsatisfactory, isn’t it the incompetency at its best for the Federal Govt in a deep sleep?

Despite court orders that the DG CAA be appointed on merit and under rules and regulations, the Aviation Secretary misled the Federal Govt and ensured that the DG CAA position remains with bureaucracy and out of no where a notification for appointment of DG CAA for a DMG officer has been issued. A contempt of court application has been filed against the then Secretary Aviation and the Secretary Cabinet Division. Capt. Asim Nawaz, LLM, advocate Hight Court and CEO, Sky Wings (PVT) Limited will appear in the court of honorable Chief Justice Mr. Justice Athar Minnallah on 08 December to plead the case.
