Rescue officials have released details of those killed in the Murree road blockage. Tragic videos of the incident have surfaced showing the bodies of small children in cars. According to rescue officials, an Islamabad policeman and his family were also killed in a snowstorm in Murree. According to the Islamabad Police spokesperson, the ASI of Islamabad Police was stationed at Kohsar police station. There were 7 to 8 people in the policeman’s car. All of them lost their lives due to a lack of help in the snow and cold.

According to reports, the deceased Police officer belonged to Telagang who along with his wife and five children, lost his life due to the cold weather. ASI Muhammad Naveed was posted at Kohsar Police Station and lived with his family in Islamabad. He had reportedly left for Murree at nine o’clock in the morning. On his way back, his car got stuck in the snow. Arrangements are being made to transport the bodies of Muhammad Naveed, his wife, and five children to his native village Dodiyal.

Among those killed in Murree were 31-year-old Ashfaq son of Younis from Gujranwala and 31-year-old Maroof son of Ashraf from Lahore. One person could not be identified. Muhammad Shehzad son of Ismail, 46, and Mrs. Shehzad Imran, 35, and their two children also died. Muhammad Bilal son of Ghaffar, 21 years old, and Muhammad Bilal Hussain son of Syed Ghous, 24 years old also died.

Federal Minister Hamad Azhar said that due to heavy snowfall in Murree, the power system has also been disrupted. One Murree City feeder has been restored, while the other two in the city will be restored in about an hour.
