PTI’s KP Social Media Operational Head resigns

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI)’s KP (Khyber Pakhtunkhwa) social media operational head Bilal Ahmed Khan has resigned.

After the success of the no-confidence motion against Imran Khan, ever since he left the prime minister (PM)’s chair till date, the social media wing of PTI workers has heavily criticized State institutions on social media.

It has been observed that PTI’s social media workers criticize institutions but when action is taken against them, PTI as a party does not accept them and says that it is not our policy to criticize institutions.

On the other hand, party leaders and workers including Imran Khan are constantly criticizing the institutions.

Now, PTI’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa social media operation head Bilal Ahmed Khan who has been criticizing the institutions has announced his decision to leave PTI after an alleged ‘software update’.

Bilal Ahmed Khan announced his resignation from his post as PTI’s social media head in a video message. Khan said in his video statement that he was given the responsibility of operation head of the social media team by PTI, but he is resigning in view of the health of his parents including personal and business engagements.

An affidavit has also been written on behalf of Bilal Ahmed, in which he said that he made some posts on Facebook by mistake and misunderstanding, “I sincerely apologize for these posts”, he said.

Khan added that he will not post against Pakistani institutions in the future. he said that he values all institutions including the army and will continue to do so.
