Indian forces personnel carried out a massive search operation at Jammu Airport on Sunday morning after authorities claimed to have received an email warning of a possible bomb attack.
The so-called threat mail, containing alarming phrases such as “bomb blast” and “I have reached,” was received in the early hours of the day. India’s paramilitary Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), which is in charge of the airport’s security, immediately activated emergency protocols and launched a thorough sweep of the facility.
Sniffer dogs and bomb disposal squads were deployed to check terminals, luggage areas, and the airport perimeter. A senior officer said, “We received a threatening email. As per protocol, we carried out a complete sweep of the premises. Nothing suspicious has been found.”
Although the searches continued for several hours, no explosive device was detected. The incident caused anxiety among passengers and staff.
Observers, however, have expressed concern that such “threat alerts” could be a precursor to another false flag operation like the one staged in Pahalgam, aimed at maligning Pakistan and deflecting global attention from the deepening crisis in occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
