Congress IIOJK chapter has resumed its district-wise chain hunger strike under the banner of “Hamari Riyasat Hamara Haq” to press for the restoration of statehood to Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

The protest, organized by the District Congress Committee Baramulla at the party headquarters in Srinagar, saw participation from party President Tariq Hameed Karra, senior leaders including former minister Taj Mohi-ud-Din, and several legislators.

Addressing the gathering, Karra said the “Hamari Riyasat Hamara Haq” campaign is the Congress party’s indigenous movement aimed at restoring the dignity and honour of the territory. He asserted that the party would continue its peaceful struggle until statehood is reinstated, urging the Modi regime to honour the aspirations of the people who feel neglected and deprived of their rights in the absence of statehood.
