India’s Test and ODI captain, Shubman Gill, is in Adelaide these days, where he is set to lead the Indian team in the second ODI of the ongoing three-match series against Australia on Thursday (October 23). Ahead of the must-win match at Adelaide Oval, Gill, while taking a stroll through the streets of Adelaide, met with a fan, who, after shaking hands with him, chanted “Pakistan Zindabad.”

Gill was surprised with the fan’s unexpected reaction post handshake.

Gill, who replaced Rohit Sharma as the captain of India’s ODI team on October 4, played three matches against Pakistan in the Asia Cup last month. In the three matches against the Salman Ali Agha-led side at Dubai International Cricket Stadium on September 14, 21 and 28, respectively, Gill registered scores of 10, 47 and 12 runs.
