On November 6th, Lionsgate released the first ever teaser for Micheal Jackson’s biopic named Micheal. The teaser revealed its lead actor Jaafar Jackson, who is being hailed as a doppelganger for his late uncle.
The teaser showed Jaafar’s transformation as the Pop King; signing autographs, taking pictures, winning awards and of course, the iconic Moon Walk that many have tried to recreate.

The final sequence in the teaser includes him walking up to the microphone recording both saying, “Q, can you lower the lights for me, please?” as he finishes with that classic grin followed by his laugh.
The film is set to release in April 2026 and will focus on highlighting the Pop King’s life. For those speculating, the synopsis of the movie as per report read, “The film tells the story of Michael Jackson’s life beyond the music… Tracing his journey from the discovery of his extraordinary talent as the lead of the Jackson 5, to the visionary artist whose creative ambition fueled a relentless pursuit to become the biggest entertainer in the world.”
