Case No. 9 — a crime thriller captivating audience across Pakistan serves as an exposé slowly chipping away the shadows of society.

With the teaser showing Sabar Qamar starring as Seher and Faysal Quraishi as Kamran, the series explores the struggle of a rape survivor seeking justice. More importantly, each new episode is like an onion being peeled layer by layer to reveal a different angle reminding viewers to think outside the box. For instance, it sheds light not just upon the rapist’s behaviour but also the family, friends, and co-workers of the victim.

Additionally, the series highlight how injustice remains deep rooted in the system that persecutes the victim more than benefitting them. Directed in the setting of a courtroom, the drama unravels to present two versions of a story. One from Kamran’s perspective and the other being Seher’s perspective.

Hence, it shows the viewer how a rapist by their actions and demeanor reveals his nature. He makes several attempts to subdue the victim and physically attacks if met with constant resistance.
