Adele is launching her acting career with her first film debut in former fashion designer Tom Ford’s “Cry to Heaven.”

Set for the big screens, Adele will appear alongside big names including Nicholas Nicholas Hoult, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Colin Firth, Paul Bettany and Owen Cooper. The movie is adapted from Anne Rice’s 1982 novel set in 18th Century.

A film set to acknowledge the “Castrati” – male singers who were castrated to preserve high voices, British music icon was the best fit for the role.

Adele’s passion for singing certainly adds to the sketch of her character. Not only is she to find relatable moments, but rely on her love for singing to bring the script to life.

Ford is reported to direct, write and produce the film. However, no details on Adele’s character have surfaced so far.

The die hard fans of British music star remain curious as Adele released her last album four years ago. Out of the limelight, she disclosed her plan to be on a big break. However, she also revealed how she wants to, “do other creative things just for a little while”

One of the main highlights of her singing career is winning an Oscar for her James Bond theme song “Skyfall.” Now, the singer remains affiliated with “Cry to Heaven” making headlines and adding value to its brand.

For fans waiting, the movie is currently in pre-production in Rome and London. The principal photography is to commence in January with movie release expected in fall 2026.

Tom Ford remains extremely active to bring his new venture to the screens saying he wants to, “spend the next 20 years of my life making films” after selling fashion house Estee Lauder.”
