The Counter Intelligence Kashmir, accompanied by Indian paramilitary personnel, launched extensive house raids and searches across the Kashmir Valley in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
The CIK and other forces raided several residential properties in Srinagar, Islamabad and Kulgam districts.
Search operations are also underway inside the hospital at Shireen Bagh in Srinagar.
These raids are widely viewed as an attempt to intimidate the local population and maintain an atmosphere of fear under draconian laws. Indian forces continue to enjoy complete impunity for human rights abuses committed during cordon and search operations.
