Lastly, Cumberbatch kept stressing how glossy movies try to sugarcoat and sanitize emotions to make content palatable for wider audience. However, he aims to avoid it with this film saying, “That’s not allowable in our film. It just happens when it happens, and how it happens, in the way it happens.”
