DERA BUGTI (Press Release) — November 27, 2025: An open forum, or “Khuli Kachehri,” was convened at the Frontier Corps (FC) Headquarters in Sui, Balochistan. The event was attended by Inspector General FC Balochistan North (IGFC) Major General Muhammad Atif Majtaba, the Deputy Commissioner of Dera Bugti, officials from the district administration, and a significant number of tribal elders.
The forum focused on devising a collaborative roadmap to address the challenges faced by the Dera Bugti region, with an emphasis on restoring peace and stability and promoting development and public welfare.

In his address, IG FC Balochistan (North) Major General Muhammad Atif Mujtaba stated that peace and unity are fundamental to Balochistan’s progress and prosperity. He emphasized that the public must thwart the designs of terrorists, and that a collective effort is required to defeat the conspiracies of anti-state elements. He highlighted the pivotal role of tribal elders in sustaining peace within the region.
“The open forum or ‘Khuli Kachehri’ is a vital mechanism for resolving public grievances,” he remarked. “We have articulated our issues and are optimistic that the Balochistan government will take concrete measures to address them.”

During the discussions, local elders also raised concerns regarding the state of education and healthcare, as well as the deplorable condition of the Dera Bugti–Kashmore Road and the overall security situation. These deliberations are expected to contribute to the area’s economic and social development.
All participants reaffirmed their commitment, stating that mutual cooperation between the Balochistan government, security forces, district administration, and tribal elders is indispensable for ensuring lasting peace and prosperity in the province.
