Pakistani actor and model Asad Siddiqui calls out parents for early admissions in school.

In Zara Noor Abbas’s show What Mom Sense? Asad Siddiqui criticizes modern trends of admitting students at a young age. He believes that schools are inculcating class consciousness among children. Moreover, he emphasizes that sending away toddlers to an external environment builds up psychological pressure, impacting essential early development.

Additionally, Siddiqui argues, “Who gets a child admitted to school at 1.5 years? Only fools. Even four years isn’t a suitable age for kids to be sent to school; five is also not the right age. All these school systems are money-making machines. Schools make you class-conscious and focus on money.

Moreover, he believes, “Who can teach better than parents? Yes, schools can be helpful, but only after a certain age — not before that.”  For instance he says, “In Finland, you aren’t allowed to attend school before the age of seven, because it is a scientifically proven age for learning, children are so fragile, their bones don’t even develop at five. Even Islamically, it is said to keep your children closer to you and teach them yourself.”

Furthermore, the actor urges schools for age-appropriate admission criteria. Child friendly methods are significant to include in learning course. Moreover, he reminded parents to need to evaluate the child’s readiness towards the idea of schooling. Hence, he believes that the process should not be rushed. Siddiqui believes by doing so, a child would have the natural urge to learn, grow and participate in educational activities.
