From targeted attacks on police stations and security posts to rocket strikes and suicide bombings, multiple districts remain on high alert as authorities tighten operations to prevent further unrest.

Balochistan
A series of security-related incidents across Balochistan has heightened tensions, with officials warning of increased militant activity in several regions.
In Nokundi, the banned Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF) issued an unverified statement claiming responsibility for an alleged attack targeting areas linked to the Saindak and Reko Diq projects. The group also claimed its militants had remained active in the area for over 24 hours. Security officials have not confirmed any part of the claim, noting that such statements are often propaganda tools used by militant outfits to create panic. Authorities urged the public to rely only on verified, official information.
In Loralai, police recovered the body of a young man, Qayyum, from the Oria Gi Nadi river. His vehicle was found separately in Kali Kachlak. The cause of death remains under investigation.
In Panjgur’s Serekooran area, unknown assailants fired a rocket at the Washbud Police Station, triggering a fire that destroyed official records and other items. Security has been tightened in the area as investigations continue.
Kech district remains tense after a mortar round struck a home in Hoshab, killing a young girl, Yasmeen, daughter of Nasir. Outraged residents blocked both sides of the M-8 Highway, vowing not to end their sit-in until the perpetrators are arrested. Gunfire from unidentified assailants at the protest site left another man, Ghafoor son of Gangzaar, injured. Demonstrators accuse authorities of failing to curb rising insecurity and demand immediate action.

Authorities in Talagang have uncovered a suspected terrorist network involving Afghan nationals. According to officials, a detainee arrested in Tilla Gung provided a confessional statement detailing the network’s operations. Security agencies are now expanding the investigation to identify and dismantle all associated cells across the region.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
KP witnessed a surge in violence, with multiple attacks targeting security personnel across several districts.
In South Waziristan’s Azam Warsak area, militants from the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) blew up the home of a local journalist, as shown in a recently surfaced video. Authorities are assessing the damage while investigating the motive and any casualties.
Another explosion in Ladha killed several militants when their own explosives detonated inside a hideout in Tangi. The site was completely destroyed, and further verification of casualties is underway.
In North Waziristan’s Spin Wam area, security forces shot dead a terrorist identified as Umar alias Yasser during a targeted operation after detecting suspicious movement from Aba Khel toward Bublai.

In Bannu’s Dandi Khel area, militants opened fire on the home of police officer Farid Khan. Police responded swiftly and rescued the officer. A search operation has been launched.
Further south in Dattakhel, security forces killed six militants near a check post in Mandi Khel after observing suspicious activity. Several militants were injured, but no security personnel casualties were reported.
In Khyber district’s Tirah Valley, six more terrorists were killed during an intelligence-based operation as forces intensified efforts to root out militant activity.
Hangu district officials held a Grand Peace Jirga at the DC Office, where elders, police, and security forces agreed to establish peace committees in every union council. Participants pledged joint action against anyone disrupting public order.
In Lakki Marwat, a suicide bomber targeted a police mobile near Tajori, martyring Head Constable Alauddin and injuring five others. Authorities say the bomber’s accomplice fled the scene, prompting a wide search operation. KP Chief Minister Sohail Afridi praised the police for their sacrifice, vowing that militant facilitators will be brought to justice.
In a separate incident in Bannu’s Sarangi area, a police officer named Tariq was martyred when militants opened fire as he was headed to duty. A search operation is underway to trace the attackers.
