Constitution-Defying Case is Baseless: Pervez Musharraf
ISLAMABAD (3rd Dec, 2019): Former President Pervez Musharraf has said that in my view the constitution-defying case is baseless.
According to reports, Pervez Musharraf, has stated that the case is being violated, and the demand for justice has not been fulfilled. He added, that it is worse because he has to go to the hospital for his treatment. “I was immediately rushed to the hospital after an anesthetic”, stated Pervez Musharraf.

Former General Pervez Musharraf said that the commission should record my statement in this case. He believes that the constitution-defying case is baseless. He continued to say, “I did many services for the country, many wars, served the country for 10 years”.
Furthermore, Pervez Musharraf said that he was not being heard in the case, and neither was his lawyer Salman Safdar, being heard in the court. He stated, “I was being abused in the case, justice is not being fulfilled but I hope I will get full justice from the court”.

Point to be noted is that the Lahore High Court has summoned the record of treason case against former President, Pervez Musharraf. Moreover, the court has reportedly remarked that enforcing emergency is something else and suspending the constitution is different. The federal government’s lawyer has filed a reply, stating that the trial court’s notification was issued in light of the Supreme Court order, the court inquired that according to the petitioner, it was the prime minister’s authority.
