A further 21% reduction in the expenses of the Prime Minister’s Office

ISLAMABAD: Expenditure of the Prime Minister’s Office has been reduced by a record 21 per cent, the captain said, fulfilling his promise to the nation.

According to reports, the expenditure of the Prime Minister’s Office has been further reduced by a record of 21 percent. The savings of Rs 180 crore have set an example of simplicity.

On the other hand, Shahbaz Gill, Special Assistant to Prime Minister Imran Khan for Political Communications, said that the Prime Minister’s Secretariat had scattered all 34 federal ministries and 44 divisions in austerity. He said that out of Rs. 86.28 crore allocated for the Prime Minister’s Office and House in 2019, Rs. 67.92 crore was spent while about Rs 86 crore has been allocated for the next financial year 2020-20. It is hoped that this year the expenditure will be reduced by another 21%.

He said that last year the expenditure of the Prime Minister’s House was reduced by 41% and this financial year the Prime Minister’s Office and House has set an example of austerity by reducing the expenditure by a record 21%.
