Mumbai (23rd July, 2019): Bollywood actor, Aamir Khan set on making movie about the Babri mosque demolition and formation of Modi government.

According to reports of Baaghi TV, Bollywood star Aamir Khan has announced that he is set o making a film about the Babri mosque demolition and the formation of Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi’s government.

The movie is s far titled to be Lal Sigh Chaddha, is reportedly based on Hollywood actor Tom Hanks’ classical Forest Gump and is set to be based on the events surrounding Babri mosque demolition as well as coming into power of the Modi sarkar.

According to a source, Aamir Khan and Adavit Chandan share a clear understanding that the “political symbolism” for the film, “will have different interpretations and hence, they are assuring that it will not rake up too much controversy” or otherwise create problems for the film. Reportedly, the source further commented that the film will act as a reference point for the world so as to catch a glimpse into the happenings of India in the last few years.

Moreover, the issues discussed in the film are of significance as the demolition of the 16th Century mosque in India was demolished by Hindu mobs in 1992 and had reportedly triggered some of the worst riots in Indian history that resulted in the killings of nearly 2,000 people.

Consequently, cases were registered against culprits behind the demolition including notable figures such as Kalyan Singh, the Chief Minister at time, Shiv Sena-head Bal Thackery of Uttar Pradesh and L. K. Advani. However, no judgement has been passed against the alleged convicts till date. Based on latest updates on the case, Hindus have expressed the desire to build a temple in its place whereas, Muslims want the mosque to be rebuilt.

The film is set to be released around Christmas of 2020.
