Abrar ul Haq’s Appointment Challenged in Court

ISLAMABAD (16th Nov, 2019): The appointment of singer-cum-politician, Abrar-ul-Haq as the new Chairman of Pakistan Red Crescent Society (PRCS) has been challenged in Islamabad High Court.

According to reports of Baaghi TV, former Chairman of PRCS, Saeed Elahi has challenged Abrar-ul-Haq’s appointment on Saturday. The petition filed in the court stated that “Abrar-ul-Haq has been appointed as the chairman for 3 years but I was appointed as Chairman for 3 years. So, the deployment of Abrar-ul Haq is completely illegal because in case of set tenure for any postings, one cannot be removed before its completion.”

Reportedly, former Chairman Pakistan Red Crescent Society (PRCS), Saeed Elahi had been removed from his post. President Arif Alvi has appointed Abrar-ul-Haq as the new Chairman of PRCS.
