Adnan Siddiqui set to promote Pak-UK friendship

Lahore, 19th January: Adnan Siddiqui is a well-known Pakistani actor, who has proven his mettle through his acting skills. Getting mega projects and awards, the multi-talented actor just can’t stop here.

Baaghi TV: After working his way through Pak-Turk collaboration, he has now set his sights on a new milestone for Pakistani television, a cultural exchange between Pakistan and the UK.

Adnan Siddiqui met British High Commissioner Dr Christian Turner on Monday and shared exclusive extracts from his meeting on social media.

Taking to his official Twitter and Instagram accounts, Siddiqui revealed how Pakistan and the UK are in talks to strengthen ties through not just television, but also education and the ever-passionate love for cricket.

The ‘Mere Pass Tum Ho’ famed actor shared on his Instagram account, “In these times of global inclusivity, the world is an oyster in every sense of the word. I firmly believe that cross-cultural exchange across all fields will shape the new order of diplomacy.”

He added, “In a meeting with Dr Christian Turner, British High Commissioner, this observation was underscored as we talked about the renewed impetus to Pakistan-England ties through education, entertainment and cricket.”

“Thank you, Mr Turner. It was an honour sharing tea and ideas with you. May our friendship grow personally and diplomatically. Thank you, Ms Younis, for making this happen.”

Sharing his excitement, the British High Commissioner Christian Turner also shared photos from the day on his social media accounts.

Turner wrote, “The pleasure was mine. Great to hear about #MerePassTumHo & discuss #UKPakDosti“.

Expressing in Urdu, Turner also wrote, “Bohat maza aya to meet the talented Adnan Siddiqui and Ammara Hikmat. Pakistani TV and films attract a big following in the United Kingdom, working to boost the industry and #UKPakDosti.”

Ammara Hikmat who is a producer of the much-awaited movie, ‘Maula Jutt’, was also part of the team as shared her selfie to commemorate the occasion.

As per reports, recently, Siddiqui was part of the team seeking to strengthen Pak-Turkish brotherhood through the entertainment industry and had hosted the Turkish delegation.

As per reports, Tekdin Films, one of the producers behind Turkey’s hit series ‘Dirilis: Ertugrul’, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Dr Kashif Ansari’s ‘Ansari Films’ and ‘TRT Films’ that will set in motion a number of projects featuring Turkish as well as Pakistani talent.

Adnan Siddiqui and Humayun Saeed will be overseeing the venture in Pakistan, making casting and production-related decisions.
