Adnan Siddiqui shares condolence message for late Bollywood actor

Leading Indian actor Irfan Khan passed away at the age of 53 yesterday. The news of his sudden demise shocked Indian and Pakistani artists as well as fans.

Baaghi TV: According to Indian media reports, Irfan Khan was admitted in a Mumbai hospital on Tuesday when his condition suddenly deteriorated. The report said that the actor had a colon infection for which he had to undergo treatment. Irfan Khan, who was admitted to the hospital, is survived by his wife Sutapa Sikdar and two sons Babil and Ayan.

Following his death, his fans and fellow actors around the world expressed their grief through tributes on social media.

Leading actor of Pakistan showbiz industry, Adnan Siddiqui, has also released a long note for Irfan Khan on social media website, Instagram after his death and also told the fans about his friendship with Irfan Khan.

Adnan Siddiqui shared a picture of himself and Irfan Khan on social media and wrote in the caption that a great man has left very quickly, I had the honor of meeting Irfan Khan for the first time on the set of the film A Mighty Heart. When we read our lines, I saw that he was doing a scene over and over again. I was surprised to see that.

Adnan Siddiqui wrote that he asked the Bollywood actor, Irfan Sahib what are you doing this? To which he replied that we are both playing the role of CID agents which means we have to show our ID everywhere. I am practicing this scene so that I do not feel strange when I show the ID card during the actual scene. And that was the first time I realized what a great actor he was.

He further wrote that we became good friends on the set of this film and after the shoot we used to live together and hang out together. Adnan Siddiqui wrote that I remember that for another scene it was a common Urdu word used in Pakistan, he wanted to learn and he asked me about it. He was a great actor but he didn’t hesitate to ask anything to improve his art.

The actor wrote that one evening he told me that he and his friend were offered the role of extra actors in the James Bond series Octopus. The film was shot in India but he would reach the seats by bicycle. He told me that from then on he wanted to work in a Hollywood film. Our career in Hollywood started together but Irfan Khan proved himself and got the position.

Adnan Siddiqui further wrote that while attending IPPA in London in 2018, I came to know that Irfan Khan is also present in London. He was not meeting anyone during that time but he agreed to meet me during this time. We talked about movies and other topics in the world. He looked very positive. His last words were, “Adnan, I’ll be fine very soon and I’ll be back. InshAllah! Who knew today, I would be penning this note”.

 

Adnan Siddiqui offered Condolences and strength to his family. He further wrote, “Irrfan, you will be missed a lot. Rest in peace my friend”.

It may be recalled that Adnan Siddiqui and Irfan Khan had worked together in the 2007 Hollywood film “A Mighty Heart” alongside Hollywood beauty, Angelina Jolie.
