Islamabad (14th July, 2019): Constitutional petition filed in Supreme Court (SC) in association with alleged video of Judge Arshid Malik. 

According to Baaghi TV for more updates, constitutional petition has been filed in the Supreme Court in connection to Judge Arshid Malik’s video. The petitioner, reportedly advocate Ikram Chaudhry, has taken a plea that video matter be properly investigated and those who have made it public through a press conference should be summoned. He has also stated that Nasir Butt and his brother should also be summoned.

Moreover, so far 12 people including the Law Ministry as well as Nawaz Sarif, Shehbaz Sharif and Maryam Nawaz have been pointed out as respondents in the petition. The petitioner further hopes the SC to conduct forensic test of the video.

According to Baaghi TV’ sources, he stated in the petition that efforts had been made to malign the judiciary through the video of Judge Arshid Malik, and that it was in violation of Pakistan’s cyber law. He continued to say that the conspiracy lies in annihilating the judiciary.
