Lahore, 13th August: Afghan Vice President Amrullah Saleh has escaped from Kabul and gone to Tajikistan.

According to details, Amrullah Saleh left Kabul, Afghanistan on Friday and went to Tajikistan to take refuge. According to sources, a video message from the Afghan vice president is likely to be released soon.

Meanwhile, Pakistan’s renowned anchorperson Mubasher Lucman confirmed the news on his official Twitter page. He wrote, “As per news coming from Afghanistan the Vice President Amrullah Saleh has escaped from Kabul and gone to Tajikistan. The Rats start jumping from a burning ship. Claims of Afghan Government exposed to the fullest.”

Earlier, Vice President Amrullah Saleh had said that he would not accept the Taliban rule under any circumstances or any agreement.

On the other hand, there is news that former governor of Herat, Jamiat-e-Islami leader and militia commander Ismail Khan has joined the Taliban. The Afghan Taliban have taken control of the city of Herat, while Ismail Khan, known as the Lion of Herat, surrendered to the Taliban.

According to Afghan media, 200 Afghan army personnel who had left Lashkar Gah by helicopter have surrendered. When the Taliban reached Lashkar Gah, the people there gave a warm welcome to the Taliban.

Earlier, when the Taliban entered Kandahar after conquering the city on Friday, the people there welcomed them warmly. Dozens of areas have so far fallen under the control of the Afghan Taliban.
