Lahore: According to the spokesperson of Punjab Agriculture Department, the cotton crop is currently in full bloom.
In order to control fruit rot, farmers should use Jabrix at the rate of 10 grams per acre. If the growth of cotton is high and the crop is bearing less fruit, spray with Tomapi Quatt Chloride at 125 ml or Potassium Nitrate at 500 gm per acre with 100 liters of water. Before the rains, cotton growers should take into account the weather forecasts broadcast on radio and television before carrying out their farming activities.
Water can be transferred to those fields. Due to excess water, the roots of the cotton plants stop working. Spray 100% solution to resume plant growth. There is a possibility of infestation of whiteflies, green beetles, thrips, millibugs and pink cinnabar on the cotton crop this season. Spray pesticides on the advice of farmers. Farmers should do pest scouting twice a week and do not spray the same type of pesticides repeatedly.
Use balanced fertilizers in the light of soil analysis. Where whitefly infestation is high, Use alternative fertilizers such as calcium ammonium nitrate (Guara fertilizer) or ammonium sulphate one sack per acre instead.
Dissolve 200 g of potassium nitrate, 250 g of zinc sulphate, 300 g of magnesium sulphate in 100 liters of water and spray per acre.
