AIOU Welcomes Turkish Students for Language Learning and Acquisition

Islamabad (31st July, 2019): Allama Iqbal Open University welcomes group of Turkish students who wish to learn about Pakistan’s cultural and historical heritage. 

According to reports of Baaghi TV, a group of Turkish student has joined the Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) to acquaint themselves with the language, cultural and historical heritage of Pakistan. They are set to learn advance-Urdu in under six weeks in a course designed and arranged by the University’s Urdu Department. Moreover, according to the Head of Department, Dr. Abdul Aziz Sahir, the foreign students will also be allowed the opportunity to visit important historical places to introduce them to Pakistan’s cultural and social traditions, respectively.

It has been reported that Vice Chancellor, Zia ul Qayyum, has expressed that he feels honour at the prospect of developing interaction between Muslims countries by means of promoting opportunities in the field of education. Additionally, the University is also interesting in engaging international collaboration with Central Asian states like Turkey.
