ISLAMABAD, Oct 29 (APP):Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Ali Muhammad Khan Thursday called on Muslim countries to warn Western countries against a rise in Islamophobia as blasphemy against any prophet of Islam was unacceptable.

Talking to Radio Pakistan’s current Affair Program, he urged upon the Muslim leaders to raise collective voice and explain to the leadership of the non-Muslim, especially Western states, the deep-seated reverence and love all Muslims feel for their divine book, the Holy Quran, and for Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

He said Prime Minister Imran Khan is continuously highlighting this issue at all world forums and love for Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) is something closest to hearts of billions of Muslims across the globe as well.

He said PM in his address at UNGA last year discussed the issue of Islamophobia in detail and its increasing trend that is hurting the Muslim Ummah.

“We need to explain to West that for us the personality of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) is dearest to us”, he added.

Ali said they have been trying to defame Islam and imposing restrictions on Muslims for quite some time. Similarly, incidents like burning of Holy Quran have also been observed.

The Cabinet expressed serious concerns over increasing incidents of blasphemy in the world. Foreign Minister is going to raise this issue at OIC forum, he added.

Prime Minister Imran Khan is also determined to write letters to head of states of all the Muslim countries on the issue. At this time, only two Muslim leaders namely Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan and Prime Minister Imran Khan are proactively working to curb Islamophobia, he assured.
