Allama Iqbal Open University Sets to Promote its Alumni Association

Islamabad (27 June, 2019): Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) gears up to promote Alumni Association.
According to Baaghi TV’s reports, the Allama Iqbal Open University (AOU) is reportedly gearing up its efforts for the Alumni Association of various departments to help strengthen interaction between old and new students, many of who are believed to hold significant position in government and private sectors.
According to reports, a ceremony of the Alumni from the University’s Physics Department was conducted that included students attending from the BS, MS, M.Phil. as well as Ph.D. sections et cetera.
Sources confirm that gold medals were also awarded at the ceremony to outstanding graduates.
According to the Dean Sciences, Dr. Syed Zafar Ilyas, such ceremonies are to be a regular feature for the University as a means to acknowledge the talent and potential of their graduating class in accordance with the vision of the university’s Vice Chancellor (VC).
Moreover, it has been decided that a debating society for the Alumni will be formed to promote a dialogue for the students an social issues of public interest.
