Allama Syed Mubarak Ali Mousavi expressed reservations on the Protection of Islam Bill

Lahore: Allama Syed Mubarak Ali Mousavi along with his delegation met Punjab Governor Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar, expressed reservations over the protection of Islam Bill.

Allama Syed Mubarak Ali Mousavi, a member of the High Council, accompanied by a high level delegation, called on Punjab Governor Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar and briefed him on his written position on the Protection of Islam Foundation Bill.

He said that the said bill was not in line with the Constitution of Pakistan and the objectives of the resolution. The bill seeks to impose its faith on the Shia nation in a conspiracy to turn an Islamic ideological state into a professional state.

Not consulting the Shia community on the contents of the bill shows malice and dishonesty. This bill is against the Shia ideology of Imamat.

He said that the mischievous intentions of the Takfiri forces who wanted to spread anarchy in the province and harm the integrity of the country and the nation have become clear. He demanded the Governor of Punjab not to approve the bill as law and to reject it outright.

The Governor Punjab assured that no such law could be passed which would lead to fear of social division. The reservations of the Shia nation cannot be denied.

Member Punjab Assembly Syeda Zahra Naqvi, MWM Provincial Secretary General Allama Abdul Khaliq Asadi, Central Secretary Political Syed Asad Naqvi, Ulema Imamia Pakistan Spokesperson Allama Syed Hassan Raza Hamdani and Representative Madrassa Imamia Allama Muhammad Iqbal Kamrani were also present in the delegation.
