Allegations of rigging are baseless: Chief Election Commissioner

Gilgit, 13th November: The Chief Election Commissioner Gilgit-Baltistan has reacted strongly to allegations of rigging by the opposition.

Baaghi TV: The Chief Election Commissioner has said that the election campaign in Gilgit-Baltistan will end tonight at 12 noon and legal action will be taken in case of violation of rules.

He said that the allegations of rigging by the leaders of opposition parties are baseless. Imposition is beyond comprehension.

On the other hand, elections in Gilgit-Baltistan are in full swing. 15,900 personnel will be on duty for election security. The election campaign in Gilgit-Baltistan has been directed to end tonight at 12 noon.

Voting will take place in 23 constituencies on November 15. 1,160 polling stations and 847 polling booths have been set up in which 418 highly sensitive, 311 sensitive and 431 polling stations have been declared normal.
