Amnesty International prevented from organizing the function in Srinagar
In Kashmir, the Indian Institute of Human Rights International Amnesty International has not allowed the Amnesty International branch in India to organize a programme in Srinagar.
According to the report, the Indian Chapter of Amnesty International wanted to hold a function in Srinagar, but Indian administration refused to allow. Amnesty International confirmed the incident and said that the district administration of Srinagar did not allow them to hold a human rights event.
Amnesty International has condemned the Indian administration’s attitude. Indian government does not even allow foreign journalists and human rights representatives to go to Kashmir.
