Amritpal Singh arrested after high-speed chase in Shahkot

India: Khalistan sympathizer and Waris Punjab De chief Amritpal Singh was arrested by the Indian Punjab Police after a tense high-speed chase involving around 100 police cars in Jalandhar’s Shahkot.

Six associates from Amritpal Singh’s team were earlier arrested by police during the hot pursuit that went on for hours.

Following the incident, the Punjab Home Secretary had announced that internet services in the state would be snapped till tomorrow. Heavy police deployment was seen in the Moga district of Punjab.
