The National Command & Operation Center (NCOC) continues to confirm reports of an alarming rise in COVID-19 patients an deaths during the third wave.
According to reports, in the last 24-hours the NCOC has confirmed reports of seventy deaths and 4,825 new cases. The mortality rate has also risen to 17,069 deaths. Meanwhile, the total number of Corona virus patients is reported to be 794,841.
NCOC statistics show the positivity rate in Pakistan to be 9.61%. 89,219 cases are reported to be active as 694,046 patients have reportedly recovered since the outbreak last year.

Provincial statistics show 16,983 new cases in Sindh, 19,445 in Punjab, 7,709 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 3,725 in Islamabad, 1,036 in Balochistan, 333 in Gilgit-Baltistan and 975 in Azad Jammu and Kashmir. Meanwhile, the virus has claimed the lives of 7,990 people in Punjab, 4,599 in Sindh, 3,134 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 665 in Islamabad, 105 in Gilgit-Baltistan, 232 in Balochistan and 462 in Azad Kashmir.
According to the NCOC, COVID-19 is spreading rapidly in Pakistan. The National Command and Operations Center has declared 26 districts of Pakistan as high risk as the Corona vaccination drive is underway in Pakistan and in the third phase, people between the ages of 50 and 60 are being inoculated.
