According to reports, Advisor to the Prime Minister on Health Dr. Faisal Sultan has said that polio drops will be administered to more than 40 million children up to the age of five years. According to reports, as many as 285,000 frontline workers, with nearly 5,400 teams, are expected to take part in the anti-polio drive, while ensuring implementation of COVID-19 SOPs.
Meanwhile, the polio drive in thirty-three districts of Balochistan including Quetta has been postponed. According to reports, the delay is attributed to a possible sit-in by Government employees in the region. According to a spokesperson for the Emergency Operations Center for Polio Sindh, the number of polio cases has come down due to the polio campaign.
