Anti-vehicle lifting staff recovers Rs90m vehicles, valuables , arrests 13 gangsters

Lahore: The Anti-Vehicle Lifting Staff Lahore has arrested 91 accused including 34 professionals of 13 gangs who snatched and stole vehicles during various operations and arrested 16 cars, 321 motorcycles, 13 rickshaws, 2 Mazda trucks, mobile phones, Rolex watches other valuables worth over Rs 90 million besides illegal arms have been recovered. These views were expressed by DIG Investigation Lahore Sharq Jamal Khan while talking to representatives of electronic and print media in his office here today.
SP CRO Muhammad Imran, SP Investigation City Hassan Javed Bhatti and other officers were also present on the occasion.
The DIG Investigation said that for some time now, a few professional gangs of snatching and stealing vehicles have been active in Lahore which have become a headache for the citizens.
The Anti-Vehicle Lifting Staff Lahore has arrested a total of 91 accused including 34 professional war criminals of 13 gangs who snatched and stole vehicles during various operations.

Mobile phones, Rolex watches, other valuables and illegal weapons have been recovered.
The DIG Investigation said that the accused had snatched a vehicle worth about Rs 5 crore from Muhammad Afzal Khan from Defense C area a few days ago.  The accused snatched vehicle number AGX-015 at gunpoint and took it to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The accused used to escape by unlocking vehicles parked outside houses, plazas and parking stands with master keys.
DIG Sharq Jamal Khan said that 354 cases of vehicle snatching and theft have been traced against the arrested accused in different areas of the city.
All the accused, who have been involved in snatching and stealing vehicles in different parts of Lahore for a long time have been arrested.
The DIG added that protection of life and property of citizens is a top priority and operations against criminal elements will continue.
