Apple launches the latest version of their watch collection, the Watch Series 7, with a refined design, new operating system (OS 8), enhanced durability and new case colours.
Along with the iPhone 13 series and iPads, Watch Series 7 was also introduced at the virtual event that took place on September 14, 2021 which looks slightly different than its predecessors.
The original design of the Apple Watch hasn’t changed since 2015, but the design for the Apple Watch Series 7 is completely new and different. Two versions of the Apple Series 7 have been introduced with larger cases of 41mm and 45mm with larger and more durable screens.
The tech giant has added large displays with new watch faces such as counters, modular dove and world timer. According to the company, this is the first Apple Watch with a dust resistance rating of IP6X.
Similarly, new technology has been used to prevent scratches on the screen. It is also water resistant; hence, can be used while swimming in deep waters, about 50 meters.
Inside the smartwatch, Apple Inc has installed the new watch OS 8 operating system that provides 13% faster charging. Similarly, full swipe based keyboard is also part of the device and different workout modes are also given.
Besides all that, this smartwatch can also track the speed of breathing during sleep. The Series 7 Watch will be available in the coming weeks, starting at $399.
