APS Martyrs Day: Engin Altan, Humayun Saeed and others Pay Tribute

Lahore, 16th December: Today the Pakistani nation is marking the sixth anniversary of the Army Public School (APS) Peshawar’s carnage that took place on December 16, 2014.

A total of 150 people including 133 children and 17 staff members of the APS were martyred on the day when armed terrorists wearing paramilitary uniforms, belonging to Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) entered the school premises to carry out the horrific attack.

In APS, more than 1,000 students, from preschool to high school, were present on the day, when the terrorists opened indiscriminate fire on the innocent students and teachers while entering classrooms and auditoriums killing young students and teachers.

The grief-stricken, parents of innocent children still vigil candles in memory of their beloved children to pay them love and homage.

Along with the Pakistani celebrities, famous Turkish actor also paid homage to the young martyrs of the APS Attack that took place six years ago.

Turkish actor, Engin Altan Duzyatan showing support with Pakistan on this tragic day shared a message on his Twitter account:

Addressing the atrocities committed by the Indian Government, he wrote, “The Indian government and their military are enemies of democracy #APSPeshawarAttack.”

Famous actor and producer Humayun Saeed could not hold back his feelings on this sad day:

He tweeted, “16th December – a tragic reminder of invaluable loss in our war against terrorism. Nothing is more important than the safety and well-being of our children. May Allah always protect them all #NeverForget #APSMartyrsDay.”

TV anchor and actress Veena Malik wrote, “The small coffins are the heaviest #APS_ToHeaven #APSMartyrsDay #APS_WeCantForGetYou #APS_Unforgettable.”

Actor Ali Rehman shared a picture of the APS Martyrs on his Twitter handle and said that we can never forget the young boys who lost their lives.

Singer Shehzad Roy poured his heart out by sharing a soulful song sung by him as a tribute:
