Arrest of Captain Safdar, PPP’s stand comes forward

According to the report of Baaghi TV, following the arrest of PML-N leader Captain (retd.) Safdar, the stand of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) has also come.

PPP leader Saeed Ghani, Sindh’s provincial minister, tweeted on social networking site, Twitter, that what Captain Safdar did at Mazar-e-Quaid was inappropriate. However, the manner in which the Karachi police have made the arrest is reprehensible.

Saeed Ghani further said that the arrest of Captain Safdar was not on the instructions of the Sindh government. This move by the police is part of a conspiracy to create a rift between the PDM parties, which we will thwart.

On the other hand, Maryam Nawaz Sharif’s spokesman Muhammad Zubair said that efforts are being made to bring Captain (retd.) Safdar out as soon as possible, talked to Saeed Ghani, he is also investigating the matter.

Safdar out as soon as possible. Captain (retd.) Safdar has been arrested from a local hotel, and a case has been registered against him in the police brigade. However, he has been shifted to Aziz Bhatti police station after his arrest.

It may be mentioned that in a case of desecration of Mazar-e-Quaid in Karachi, Karachi police raided a private hotel and arrested Captain (retd.) Safdar, husband of PML-N leader Maryam Nawaz.
