Arrest of Khawaja Imran Nazir provokes unrest
Lahore, 8th November: PML-N has protested after the arrest of Khawaja Imran Nazir.
According to Baaghi TV reports, a case has been registered against PML-N MPAs and MNAs for provoking the arrest of PML-N leader Khawaja Imran Nazir, inciting revolt against the police and the government and violating coronavirus SOPs.
Following the arrest of Khawaja Imran Nazir, former and current PML-N MPAs and MNAs entered the police station by spreading the four walls of Chowhang police station and chanting slogans against the police and the government.
Police officers were threatened with dire consequences, demanding the release of Khwaja Imran Nazir. Azmi Bukhari, Sara Afzal Tard, Attaullah Tarar, Saif al-Muluk Khokhar and forty unknown persons have been sued.
Meanwhile, in the court of Judicial Magistrate Hafiz Nafees, Khawaja Imran Nazir was produced by the Chowhang police. He told the court that Khawaja Imran Nazir has been arrested in a case of vandalism outside the NAB office.
