Asad Umar announces conditional opening of educational institutes in some districts

Sept 14, 2021: Following the latest update after the NCOC meeting, Asad Umar has announced the districts in which educational institutes and schools can re opened at half attendance. 

According to the report of Baaghi TV, the spread of corona virus continues in Pakistan. There has been an NCOC meet to reevaluate the restrictions imposed earlier this month by the NCOC to stop the spread of Corona virus.

Today, Asad Umar, Federal Minister and Head of NCOC, while referring to the new restrictions, said that due to the increase in Corona cases, hospitals are under pressure. The demand for oxygen has doubled in the last few weeks, even though the situation has improved, the threat has not gone away.

Umar said they had imposed some restrictions in 24 districts on September 4. Out of 24 districts, 18 are showing improvement, 6 districts will remain under severe blockades, 5 districts of Punjab will remain under lock down, namely Lahore, Faisalabad, Multan, Sargodha and Gujarat.

Referring to educational institutions, Asad Umar said that from September 16, educational institutions with 50% attendance will be opened, closures will remain in five districts of Punjab and one district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, business will not be closed henceforth.

Inter-city bus service will be allowed with 50% rides. The government is trying to normalize the situation. Outdoor dining time is being extended to 10 am in 6 districts. Parks and gyms will be opened for fully vaccinated people. He urged people to get vaccinated to stop the spread of the novel corona virus.

On the other hand, the NCOC states that those who are eligible for the second dose of the vaccine are informed that all those whose second dose has been scheduled will be allowed seven days a week without waiting for a message. You can get your second dose from any vaccine center. Sunday is set aside for the second dose.
