Asad Umar Urges Adhering to SOPs on the eve of Eid-ul-Azha

PESHAWAR, July 27 (Online Int’l): Minister for Planning, Development and Special Initiatives, Asad Umar has said people should abide by Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and celebrate Eid with simplicity for preventing COVID-19 from spreading.
He said this during a media briefing after the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) meeting here Monday. He held that the provincial government has played vital role in the containment of corona virus epidemic. He went on to say that a marked dip is being seen in corona virus spread. We have worked hard and its outcome is before all of us, but this virus still prevails in the country.
He remarked, “Sacrifice is Sunnah and every one wants to conduct it. This is obligatory as well. However, Islam has also taught us that we should care for the health and jobs of others. We should not do any job which leads to cause harm to any one. It is therefore, incumbent upon us to celebrate Eid with simplicity and conduct sacrifice in a way that the corona virus pace is not geared up.
Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mehmood Khan said that SOPs have been formulated in the public interest to save the lives of the people and they should be followed strictly. He also urged the public to celebrate Eid with simplicity, just as all ministers and members of the KPK Assembly will. CM KPK said that after Eid, reopening of tourism industry in the province will be discussed and the PM will be approached in this regard, but until the virus is controlled, people should avoid crowds.
Chief Minister KPK Mehmood Khan said on the occasion that we dedicate this Eid ul Azha to the martyrs of the corona virus.
