Asad Umer, SM Qureshi demand Fawad Ch’s resignation

Federal Minister for Planning Asad Umar and Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi demanded the resignation of Fawad Chaudhry from Prime Minister Imran Khan.

The two ministers had met Prime Minister Imran Khan yesterday and its internal story has come to light. According to sources, Asad Umar and Shah Mehmood told the Prime Minister that there was no conspiracy against Jahangir Tareen and they are not part of any conspiracy. If no action is taken against Fawad Chaudhry, the impression of leniency will be given.

It may be recalled that Fawad Chaudhry in an interview yesterday revealed the tussle between PTI leaders Jahangir Tareen and Asad Umar. He said that first Jahangir Tareen expelled Asad Umar and then Asad Umar dismissed Jahangir Tareen.

In an interview to the US state news agency, the federal minister had also revealed that Prime Minister Imran Khan had warned the ministers that we have five and a half months in which we have to strengthen ourselves or else time will run out.

After his interview, Punjab Information Minister Fayyaz Chauhan had also said that the attitude of the Federal Minister was irresponsible. If Imran Khan fails to form a team, then Fawad Chaudhry should resign.

Reacting to Fayyaz Chauhan’s statement today, Fawad Chaudhry said that there is no question of resigning at the request of anyone else, he will remain a minister as long as he has the confidence of the Prime Minister.

Fawad Chaudhry says that politics is not a game of weak-hearted people.
