According to Baaghi TV reports, Airport Security Force (ASF) successfully foils a money laundering attempt at the Islamabad Airport.

ASF personnel detained a passenger at Islamabad Airport and recovered more than 60,000 foreign currency from his possession.

ASF sources said that 53,065 dirhams and 10,000 Qatari dinars were recovered from the passenger named Nasir.

Sources said that the detained passenger wanted to fly from Islamabad to Dubai via foreign flight FZ-8258. The passenger had hidden the currency in the speaker, a search revealed foreign currency inside the speaker.

The ASF handed over the recovered currency to the customs authorities for further legal action after interrogation of the passenger Nasir.

It may be recalled that an attempt to smuggle illicit drugs abroad at Islamabad Airport has also been foiled today. The airport administration said that two passengers of Azad Kashmir wanted to take the illicit drugs to Dubai.

Officials said that 1000 illicit bullets were seized and the passengers were allowed to travel. Azeem and Anis were allowed to travel after a written apology.
