At least 17 dead, over 80 injured in Sadiqabad train accident.

At least 17 people lost their lives when Quetta bound train collided with freight train near Sadiqabad area of Rahim Yar Khan on Thursday.

According to reports of Baaghitv, Quetta bound train Akbar express who was on way to Quetta collided with freight train near Rahim Yar Khan at Walhar train station on Thursday. It is estimated at least 17 people lost their lives and more than 80 people got injured in this collision.

After which Rescue operation started and injured are shifted to nearby hospitals. All hospitals in Sadiqabad and Rahim Yar Khan were put on alert as victims and survivors were brought in large numbers. The death toll may rise as conditions of some injured are critical.

The causes of this collision are yet to be known but an onlooker said, a passenger train coming from Lahore rammed into freight train at Walhar train station.
