At least two killed as rain lashes Karachi

A least two persons are reported to be dead as the heavy rain lashed the capital hub of Pakistan on Saturday.

According to reports of Baaghitv, the second spell of moon-soon lashed in Karachi on Saturday. The downpour lasted for more than two hours , which resulted in the accumulation of water on roads. All the roads were inundated with downpour in areas Korangi, Landhi, Guru Mandar, North Karachi, Liaquatabad, Mehmoodabad, Gadap Town, Lyari and other Old City localities.

Two persons are reported to be dead in the city due to the heavy showers which rocked the city. The Meteorological Department has predicted the spell of moon-soon will last till 12 August, 2019.

Heavy showers are also expected in the other parts of country, in Balochistan including Zhob, Kalat, Sibi, Nasirabad and Makran. Sindh’s Sukkur and Larkana division will also receive light to moderate rain.
